UDisc did a study and found Maine was the most popular state for disc golf per capita
UDisc gets a lot of data from players utilizing their scorecard application. They’ve gone through that data to figure out which states are the most popular for disc golf per capita in 2021.
Maine ended up being number one by a pretty significant margin with 12.38 rounds in UDisc Per 100 People in 2021.
The number two state was Minnesota with 8.04!
Here in Maine, we are a bit different in that almost all of our courses are pay to play. It costs a little more to play, but it ends up being worth it.
There’s no need to share the property with non-disc golfers, and money gets fed back into the course, so the upkeep is usually immaculate, and the amenities are great!
That is not taking into account all of Maine’s natural beauty. In our eyes, it makes complete sense!
